The history of JSC «FEMRI» dates back to 1926. During the past 80 years the Institute launched new activities in  research and design, accumulated information background and expended business relationships and contacts.

At the present time, JSC «FEMRI» is a diversified institution and performs variety of activities related, in the first place, to the sea transport. It maintains business relationships with many organizations and companies both in Russia and abroad.

The structure of the Institute allowes its department to establish relationships with partners in its field of activity and make projects together with building contractors and transport companies.

JSC «FEMRI» also includes engineering shops and laboratories equipped with up-to-date equipment for surveys: operating drilling machines, pontoons and other water crafts.

The Institute has high-qualified specialists. The  works quality of JSC «FEMRI» is garanted by State lisenses, its progects and designes meet all modern demands.

The Institute archives include materials on the construction of port facilities in the entire Russian Far East and East Arctic, engineering survey findings, drawings of numerous transport ships. The library contains old and new publications, manuscripts, periodicals both Russian and foreign.
