FEMRI took part in Greater Tumen Initiative events

Several events under Greater Tumen Initiative were held in Ulaan-Baator, Mongolia from 23–26 March, 2009.
The Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI) is a joint mechanism of the five member countries: China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Mongolia, the Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation. It is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other donors.

The GTI provides a unique multilateral forum for the member countries to identify and implement regional initiatives that encourage economic growth, improve living standards and contribute to peace and stability in North-East Asia.

FEMRI participated in open sessions of Govenment delegations joint meeting and presented a paper on the Second Investment Forum «Potential logistic development in Primorye». Its main issues are state of Russian transport system, main directions of NEA transport strategy of Russian Federation, transport and logistic system of the Southern Primorye, as well as integration of Primorsky Kray in transport system of NEA region.

The Republic of Korea, China, Mongolia, the Russian Federation took participation at a govenment delegations level. The USA, Europe and other countries were presented by business circles and consultants.

The members exchanged views on main issues of regional investment climate, adopted strategic guidance for further activities with a special focus on key sectors of economy, summarized the results of dialogue and focused on the promotion of GTI status to a level of integration organisation, on the development of new commitees (trade, tourism and transport) and financial corporation within GTI structure.
