JSC FEMRI is an expert organization in the field of underwater hydrotechnical constructions inspection since 1965. Institute has all documents for conducting the above activity. A special group of underwater control of hydrotechnical constructions was established in the Institute.

Main activity:

• Inspection and evaluation of technical condition of hydrotechnical constructions (sea, river, etc.).
• Hydrotechnical constructions passportization.
• Accidents investigation.
• Technical supervision and engineering monitoring of hydrotechnical structures construction and repair process.

The group consists of highly knowledgeable and experienced specialists: hydraulic engineers being diver at the same time. Specialists are certified by authorized Institute «Souzmorniiproekt» as Inspectors of hydrotechnical constructions control. According to working documentation their presence is obligatory during inspection.

FEMRI has great regulatory base for achieving accurate information about technical condition of hydrotechnical constructions. Project documentation and information about previous inspections are available in our archives. It enables changes of hydraulic constructions condition to be investigated while carrying following inspections.

The group annually carries out a great number of complex inspections of hydrotechnical constructions in the Far East of Russia: from port Posiet to port Pevek.

FEMRI specialists conducted underwater control of port Rajin (DPRK) constructions in 2007. Over the last 5 years Institute carried inspection and passportization of more than 320 objects.

Inspection of hydraulic constructions is carried out in accordance with working documentations and standards of the following federal state unitary enterprises: «Rosmorport» and «National fishery resources» (Natsrybresurs).

Among the main measures of inspection are: project materials investigation, underwater and above water investigation, fathom, sea floor inspection, photo of berth damages, data office study, passportization.
